Best Persian restaurant in the Ruhr area! A pleasure.

Very nice owner and great food! The grape leaves, rice and chicken and the omelette were really tasty. Stands on a quiet street and is still well attended. I can only recommend it!

Delicious, calm and relaxing

Despite the well-known opening times, we stood in front of a locked shop door last Monday. Lights on, doors closed. When calling AB you said, currently unavailable. The owner later said he was briefly at the doctor. Maybe he should put a sign on the door. Unreliable. Too bad.

Great food and nice staff!!

Today we went to Café Safran again spontaneously. A small post-it on the door informed us that we were there half an hour early, and that in pouring rain. The owner was already there and spontaneously let us in, thanks again! The café itself is the size of a living room and is lovingly and chaotically decorated, with many memories of Persia / Iran. Drinks and menu are manageable, and yet it was difficult for us to decide: everything was simply delicious. What we got once again exceeded our expectations: lovingly prepared delicacies from Persia, in which you can find the love of the owner for cooking. In addition, unusual drinks, such as "Chakshir", which are refreshingly "strange". Thanks again for the hospitality that we have received. Until the next visit 🙏🏻

Small and very fine! Only a few steps away from the Bermuda3eck and yet there are worlds between the kitchens. Handcrafted Persian cuisine. Always fresh, always friendly. I have taken this little paradise to heart. In fine weather you can eat outdoors. An insider tip

If you want to experience a Persian gem with great Persian dishes, you will find in saffron a small but fine "restaurant". We have selected many of the food offered for a celebration for 17 people. Starting with yoghurt with div herbs, vineyard leaves stuffed with rice in a delicious sauce, perfectly cooked lamb shanks, chicken with a wonderful pomegranate-walnut sauce, a diverse vegetable pan or the sensational rice with saffron, barberries, rose petals and herbs, everything was delicious and we and the guests loved it. My highlight, however, was in addition to the fantastic herbal teas, the way Mohamad and Mahmoud deal with the guests and make fun of it. All this invites to repetition. Thanks for that-Martin

Have a wonderful time spent here, super delicious food enjoyed, very nice atmosphere in the heart of Bochum. We felt very comfortable and were served great. Can anyone who loves the oriental cuisine to heart and be convinced by the chef. Absolute hit grilled aubergines puree as an appetizer ❤️ We will definitely come back and try our way through the menu

Quality and attention to detail are very important here. First time here and will come again. It is always advisable to call ahead, as only two tables are available. Be sure to note the opening hours. As a Persian you should also know that here no Persian grill dishes are served.

Class atmosphere and a really delicious Persian food. We have been searching for a long time for a delicious Persian restaurant and eventually came across this little cafe. The selection is small, but the food is perfect.
